Position: Manufacturing Manager
Reports To: Vice President of Operations
Position Summary:
Leads all manufacturing activities and personnel in aerospace manufacturing areas.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leads first-line supervisors in support of the company’s manufacturing activities.
- Develops and executes manufacturing objectives and strategies for increased customer satisfaction, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost savings.
- Ensures manufacturing performance, volume, and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Improves and develops organizational capabilities through effective performance management and planning/utilization of human and capital resources.
- Integrates key elements of Lean Manufacturing into the company’s operations.
- Coordinates and collaborates with other departments to establish and carry out responsibilities.
- Works closely with all other manufacturing support managers in specification and selection of tooling, equipment, and technologies to support manufacturing activities.
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred). Graduate degree desirable.
- Supervisory experience over minimum of 10 people in a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong Lean / Continuous Improvement skills required.
- Work experience with precision metal machining, including CNC programming preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems required. Infor/Visual Manufacturing preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
