Title: Sub-Assembly Technician

Hourly Range: $25.00 – $28.00
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sub-Assembly Technician to install heli-coils, Lee plugs, Lee jets, threaded inserts, lock wire, safety cable, and other precision components on aerospace parts. This role involves light machining, surface preparation, and working from engineering drawings and blueprints. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, knowledge of thread standards, and experience ensuring precision and cleanliness in critical aerospace assemblies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Install threaded inserts, plugs, jets, orifices, lock wire, and safety cable on precision components
- Perform light machining, tapping, reaming, and surface preparation
- Read, interpret, and work from detailed instructions, specifications, and blueprints
- Verify that parts meet thread quality, safety, and cleanliness requirements
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and adherence to aerospace standards
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
Job Qualifications Requirements/Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, machining, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of thread standards, insert installation, and related tooling
- Ability to install lock wire and safety cable per aerospace requirements
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints
- High attention to precision and detail with a quality-first mindset
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Additional technical training or certifications in machining or aerospace assembly preferred
- Applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
